Bill Ritchie Handicap Betting Guide

There are a number of earlier handicap races for three-year-olds that can serve as a good guide for the Bill Ritchie.

Punters that keep an eye on the winners and placegetters in these lead-up events have an advantage when it comes to betting on the Bill Ritchie.

Races that Bill Ritchie contenders may previously contest include the Group 3 Concorde Stakes (1100m) in August, Group 3 Tramway Quality Handicap (1400m), Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) or the Group 2 Shannon Stakes (1500m).

The better performing Bill Ritchie Handicap runners may then target more prestigious races in Sydney and Melbourne such as the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield.

It is also important to note that the Bill Ritchie Handicap winner is exempt from ballot and penalty for the Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) the following week at Randwick, so it is always a good idea to take a look at the early Epsom Handicap betting markets following the Bill Ritchie.
